UAS Rummage Sale Fundraiser: Call for your rummage!
What's old is new again! UAS is having a big rummage sale fundraiser on August 28th & 29th from 10 to 6pm. Join us for a fun day of rummaging and supporting UAS! We have EVERYTHING: Games, toys, kitchen ware, home decor, books, clothes, etc, etc, etc. It will take place on the dock of the UAS alley entrance where we will also be doing henna art!
In order to have the best fundraising rummage sale of all time we are looking for your donations of sellable junk. You get rid of your unwanted stuff and also contribute to a worthy cause!
If you would like to donate your sellable junk you can bring it to UAS any Thursday or Friday between noon and 4pm, or email fundraising@untitledart.org to make alternative arrangements.
Note: UAS reserves the right to turn down the donation of any large or unsellable items. No major furniture or appliances please.

Call for UAS Exhibitions Coordinator
The Untitled Art Society is an organization dedicated to providing affordable production space and accessible exhibition space to the local arts community. We are currently seeking an Exhibitions Coordinator/Board member to fill this position for the remainder of the term ending in February.
This is a Board position for a non-profit society. All Board Positions are on a volunteer basis.
Responsibilities for this position include:
• Attends a minimum of 8 monthly board meetings a year and UAS Events and committee meetings as required
• Able to be consistently available to volunteers and board members by phone and email
• Should have basic knowledge of gallery/exhibition operations
• Responsible for reading minutes for all meetings, staying informed of society business, and participating
in ALL policy and operational discussions, regardless of position/department.
Authority:
Director of the Board holds voting and proposing power at Board meetings as per the UAS consensus process (see consensus attachment for reference) chairs the Exhibition Committee, if applicable, selects the Exhibition Jury, accountable to the board, studio renters and UAS membership as well as has fiduciary accountability to public funders of the Society.
- Attends a minimum of 8 of 11 monthly general board meetings
- Coordinates Main Gallery and Plus 15 exhibitions in partnership with the Gallery Attendant, assists in install, strike, creates and distributes the invites/posters.
- Schedules submission call-outs in partnership with the Communications Coordinator.
- Recruits a Selection Jury for both exhibition venues and supervises the blind jury selection Process
- Ensures there is an Untitled Representative at each Exhibition Event
Creates the Yearly Exhibition Schedule (in conjunction with the Barewalls Coordinator
Interested applicants should contact Stephanie Anne Clark at volunteer@untitledart.org with a statement of interest outlining applicable skills to suit the position, and a CV.

Black & White Darkroom Up-and-Running!!
Untitled Art Society operates a two-person, black & white darkroom to the general community for art production starting October 1, 2009. The darkroom will be available on a drop-in basis on Thursdays and Fridays, from 12:30 to 3:30 to both members and non-members. No security deposit is required, and the cost is $30.00 per day. Monthly rental options are available to UAS members (new members always welcome, of course!)
